Crystal Spins…
Around and around and around and around…
And, sometimes she spins a tale or two…and sometimes she falls down because she’s a little dizzy. So, I’m not sure what people might want to know about me, especially after reading my posts — they kind of say everything.
So, me: I’m young, single and I’m obviously aspiring to be a writer. After an attempt to get into several graduate programs for creative writing I’ve decided to couch the idea for a while. Or maybe send it to the corner like a bad kid that needs a time out. I’m glad I applied because it forced me to think much more long-term than I’m naturally comfortable with, however, the rejection wasn’t so fun.
So, on to a new adventure, starting a business of my own.
I put in my notice at my steady job and will soon be relying on the local market to keep me paid. And yes, I’m a little terrified.
I’m amazing. I’m smart, funny, basically happy and most of my friends think I’m a lot of fun. I’m working on a new adventure and still, after 30, trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. So, if you have any questions beyond that, I guess you’ll want to read my blog or comment below and ask me!

Like you said, staying away from Facebook and blogging while at work can be pretty hard thing to do…
But it’s not at all hard when…
YOUR NETWORK ADMIN HAS BLOCKED ALL THOSE WEBSITES !!!
I am one such troubled soul who doesn’t have the privilege of checking Facebook whenever he wants… I am a little used to it, now.
I also see myself writing something worth reading some day, so I keep trying. I would like to have my friends as critics on my work, and Oh Master of Creative Writing.. You are most welcome to comment!

Hey Crystal,
You’re an aspiring writer? Looks to me like you already ARE a writer. Anyhow, I’m in a Communications in Professional Writing program and it has been very good in the sense that you get PAID to write (I’m sick of the starving student role. it gets boring). Anyhow, as awesome as creative writing is, maybe you should check out some of the universities in your area and see what they offer as an applied degree. Just a thought.

Thanks for the support! I actually have a journalism degree and have tried the newspaper thing — not fulfilling enough considering who I am and how the industry currently works. But I’ll look in the Communications in Professional Writing. I’m actually writing a training manual at my current job.

I can totally relate to your ” trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up” =) I’m 26 and feel the same way! Especially since I fell in love with traveling and now don’t even want to have to work, I just want to travel. =)
