One Less Crazy Lady
I got some great news this morning. My crazy neighbor lady — the one who vandalized my front door; the one who crawled onto my balcony at four a.m. to knock on my window and “make sure I was OK”; she’s also the one who had the cops looking for her about a month ago — will be moving out Oct. 15!
I am ecstatic — and a little freaked.
I know there are people out there who are weirder and harder to deal with that she was. Despite our nasty run-ins — and the fact that I suspect she was selling drugs — she did mostly leave me alone. I didn’t have to worry about her trying to talk to me every time I came in and went out and she was usually nice when we talked (although it became increasingly clear that she had some serious delusion).
So, I will soon have a new neighbor.
Of course the first thing I did was tell Dee because I’ve been trying to get her to be my roommate for the past year and this would be almost as cool as rooming together. It might even be cooler because we wouldn’t have to fight over who did the dishes.
I also briefly daydreamed about Alexa moving in next door but she just moved to Sturgis and I know she doesn’t want to pack up all her things again. Maybe the new tenant will end up being the man of my dreams!
Either way, I am glad that Robin will be gone and I am praying for a great new neighbor.
